Hi, I’m Alicia
I have been through quite a journey when it comes to family and home, and I am excited to offer a feminist perspective on empowered homemaking. I was removed from my mom’s care right after I was born and didn’t get to meet my dad until I was 10. For most of my life, I was raised by my grandparents, who gave me a good life, but it was certainly an unconventional upbringing.
One thing that always stuck with me was my desire for domestic tranquility – I wanted to create a warm and welcoming home for myself and my family, but I never felt quite confident in my ability to do so. That’s why I turned to the internet to learn how to cook, clean, and create a comfortable home environment. I devoured every piece of advice I could find, but I noticed that most of the resources out there had a traditional slant. As a feminist parent, I craved a different perspective – one that focused on creating a peaceful and egalitarian home environment while also engaging with political issues that affect our families.
So I decided to create my own platform to share my experiences and insights as a feminist parent. My goal is to provide practical guidance on household management, but also to offer a feminist perspective on empowered homemaking and how we can advocate for our children in the political sphere. I’m excited to connect with other parents out there who share my values and to create a supportive community where we can all learn and grow together.
